So who is the college football champions?

Yea, I know Florida won the BCS championship game. But there are at least three school that feel they have as much claim on being the best as Florida does. Utah is undefeated. They beat 4 top rated schools during the season then whipped Alabama in the Sugar Bowl game and Alabama was #1 in the BCs for 5 weeks. . But, because the brain trust that is the BCS decided when they started this farce that Utah's conference wasn't strong enough for one of its member teams to have a shot at the national title, EVER!

USC, Texas, and Texas Tech all feel they have a legitimate claim of being top dog or at least deserve a chance at playing for the championship. And one or two may even be voted #1 in one poll or another. I can think of very few sports where the champion is voted on rather than actually beating their challenger on the field of battle. (Women's gymnastics comes to mind)

This is ridiculous. Is there anyone out there right now, other than Florida, that is thinking, "yea, the BCS is legitimate"? Seriously?

I don't agree much with anything Hussien Obama says but I do agree, there should be a college football playoff.

Then again, if there was a playoff system there would be a lot less for the ESPN talking heads to talk about on Sunday mornings. (Not sure if that's a pro or a con)
